Philippine Airlines

Porter Airlines is a Canadian regional airline based at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) in Ontario, Canada. The airline is owned by Porter Aviation Holdings Inc., formerly known as REGCO Holdings Inc. Porter flies scheduled flights to various destinations across Canada and the US with Bombardier Q400 turboprop aircraft built in Canada.

Services

  • Airport Shuttle:
Porter Airlines offers a free bus shuttle from downtown Toronto (Fairmont Royal York Hotel) to the Billy Bishop Airport ferry dock/tunnel entrance. Service is provided by Pacific Western Transportation with modern buses.
  • Airport Lounges:
Porter used to offer free snacks and drinks at lounges in Toronto, Ottawa, and Newark. But those lounges are now closed after the terminal sale to Nieuport Aviation which offers traditional dining.

In-flight Services

  • Free snacks and drinks (including booze) on all flights.
  • Comfortable seating and friendly service for short-haul flights.

Frequent Flyer Program

Porter Airlines has a loyalty program called VIPorter, where you earn points that can be redeemed for free flights.

  • Initially they were going to replace VIPorter with Aeroplan after a partnership deal in 2018 but that was cancelled after Air Canada reacquired Aeroplan.
