Spirit Airlines is an American ultra-low-cost carrier founded in 1980, with its headquarters in Miramar, Florida, U.S. Its main hub is Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and it operates to 60 destinations in the U.S., Latin America, Canada, and the Caribbean. Spirit Airlines is the 8th largest airline in North America offering budget-friendly domestic and international travel.

Cabin Baggage:
One carry-on and one personal item, such as a purse, backpack, or laptop bag.

• Cabin Bag Dimensions: 56 cm x 46 cm x 25 cm

• Personal Item Dimensions: 45 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm Carry-on bags must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat.

Checked Baggage:

• Domestic Flights: 40 lbs (≈18 kg) per checked bag. Bags over this weight incur extra fees. The maximum size of one checked bag is 158 cm (62 inches)

• International Flights: Checked baggage allowances and fees vary by destination. For South America and similar routes, overweight baggage up to 70 lbs (≈32 kg) may be accepted with extra charges. Maximum size is 203 cm.

Online Check-In:
Check in online with the confirmation code and last name. Online check-in allows seat selection and printing of boarding passes. Available from 24 hours up to 1 hour before departure.
