TAAG Angola Airlines
TAAG Angola Airlines is the national carrier of Angola, based in Luanda. Founded in 1938 as Divisão dos Transportes Aéreos (DTA), it started operations on July 17, 1940. Its main hub is Quatro de Fevereiro Airport, and it operates both domestic and international flights to 31 destinations. TAAG has 12 aircraft in its fleet. The airline’s IATA code is DT and ICAO code is DTA.
Baggage Policy
Cabin Baggage:
- Domestic flights: Economy passengers can carry up to 5 kg; business and first-class passengers can carry up to 8 kg.
- International flights: Economy passengers can carry up to 8 kg, except on flights from Beijing and Brazil, where the limit is 10 kg.
- Maximum dimensions: 115 cm (length + width + height).
- You can also carry one personal item, such as a shoulder bag, laptop bag or medical device.
Checked Baggage:
- Domestic flights: Economy passengers can check one bag up to 30 kg; Business Class passengers can check one bag up to 40 kg. Dimensions must not exceed 158 cm.
- International flights:
- Economy: Two bags, max 23 kg each.
- Executive Class: Two bags, max 32 kg each.
- First Class: Three bags, max 32 kg each.
- Infants travelling with passengers can have an additional 10 kg checked baggage allowance.

- You can check in online using your reservation code and name and print your boarding pass from home or office.
Mobile Check-In:
- Available after booking, with boarding pass sent to your email.
Airport Check-In:
- Traditional check-in counters for seat selection and boarding pass issuance.
- Self-service kiosks are available in selected cities such as Cape Town, Lisbon, São Paulo, Porto, and Rio de Janeiro. You can use your e-ticket number to print your boarding pass.
