Carry-On / Cabin Baggage
You can bring a personal item with every fare, which must fit under the seat in front of you. Examples include:
- Purse
- Backpack
- Laptop bag
- Approved pet carrier
Size limit for personal items:
- 17” L x 13” W x 8” H
Additional Carry-On Bags:
- If you’re on Blue, Blue Plus, Blue Extra, or Mint fares you can bring one carry-on that fits in the overhead bin.
- Max dimensions: 22” L x 14” W x 9” H including wheels and handles.
- For domestic U.S. flights, your carry-on is guaranteed in the overhead bin if you meet fare conditions. On other routes, overhead space is first-come, first-served.
Blue Basic Fare:
- Blue Basic fares do not include a carry-on bag.
- Any carry-on brought to the gate (other than a personal item) will incur fees:
- $65 for the 1st or 2nd checked bag
- $180 for the 3rd checked bag
Exceptions:
- Mosaic members, travelers to/from London, Blue Basic + Even More® Space seat holders, active U.S. military, and unaccompanied minors.
Pets:
- If you’re traveling with a pet you can bring both a personal item and an approved pet carrier.
Checked Baggage
- You may check up to 2 bags, depending on fare.
- Bags must meet size and weight requirements:
- Maximum dimensions: 62” L+W+H
- Maximum weight: 50 lbs
- Oversized or overweight bags incur additional fees:
- 51–99 lbs: $150 per bag
- 63–80”: $150 per bag
Additional Information:
- Sports equipment such as golf clubs, skis, snowboards, and fishing rods count as one checked bag and may be added at any time. International or Mosaic / Advantage elite passengers get 2 free bags. Online
