Asiana Airlines is a South Korean airline based in Seoul. In 2019, it accounted for 25% of South Korea’s international aviation market and 20% of the domestic market. Its global hub is at Incheon International Airport in Seoul, with additional hubs at Gimhae International Airport in Busan and Gimpo International Airport in Seoul.
As a Star Alliance member, Asiana Airlines operates 90 international passenger routes, 14 domestic passenger routes, and 27 cargo routes across Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania. The airline also owns Air Busan, a low-cost regional carrier, and Air Seoul, a subsidiary budget airline.
In-Flight Services
Asiana Airlines offers five travel classes:
- First Suite Class – Available on A380-800 for routes to Los Angeles, New York, Sydney, and Frankfurt. Amenities include pajamas, souvenirs, and amenity kits (skin care, toothpaste, eye masks, earplugs). Pre-order meals are available 48 hours before departure, and seats include private AVOD systems.
- First Class – Similar to First Suite on select routes with premium comfort and personalized service.
- Business Smartium Class – Available on Boeing 777-200ER with advanced seating and AVOD entertainment.
- Business Class – Installed on Boeing 767 and A330, some equipped with newly refurbished cocoon seats.
- Travel (Economy) Class – Most seats include TV or video systems, and AVOD is standard on many aircraft.
Short domestic flights and certain international flights operate mono-class service. Asiana Airlines also publishes two in-flight magazines: Asiana and Asiana Entertainment.

- Domestic Flights: Economy class passengers may carry 1 cabin bag + 1 personal item (purse, briefcase, laptop). Maximum size: 115 cm (56 x 36 x 23 cm) including handles and wheels. Maximum weight: 10 kg. Business class passengers may carry 2 cabin bags.
- International Flights: Same as domestic; overweight or oversized baggage fees vary by route.
