Baggage Policy
Cabin Baggage:
Each passenger is allowed one piece of cabin baggage. The maximum weight for carry-on luggage is 5 kg, and the dimensions must not exceed 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. Passengers must adhere to both the weight and size limits.
Checked Baggage:
- Economy Class: Passengers may check in up to two pieces of luggage, with each bag weighing no more than 23 kg.
- Business & First Class: Passengers may check in up to two pieces, with each bag not exceeding 32 kg.
- Size Limit: The total dimensions of a single checked bag (length + width + height) must not exceed 158 cm.
Exceeding the weight or size limits may incur additional charges.
Check-In Options
Online Check-In:
Shanghai Airlines offers web check-in, allowing passengers to check in from home using a computer or laptop. A booking reference ID is required to complete check-in and print the boarding pass. Online check-in opens 24 hours before departure and closes one hour prior to the flight.
Airport Check-In:
Passengers may also check in at dedicated airport counters. Separate counters are available for Economy Class and Business Class passengers. For domestic flights, check-in begins two hours before departure and closes 30 minutes prior. For international flights, check-in closes one hour before the scheduled departure time.
