Scoot Airlines
Scoot Pte Ltd, trading as Scoot, is a Singaporean low-cost carrier and a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines. The airline started operations on 4 June 2012 and flies medium- and long-haul routes from Singapore to various airports across the Asia-Pacific region. Scoot’s tagline is “Escape the Ordinary.”
Cabin Classes and Seating
ScootPlus:
- ScootPlus offers premium economy style seating on the Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 aircraft, with 21 and 35 seats, respectively.
- Seats are full leather in black and in a 2-3-2 configuration.
- Each seat is 22 inches (55.9 cm) wide, with a seat pitch of 38 inches (96.5 cm) and 6 inches (15.2 cm) of recline.
- Adjustable headrests and leg rests for extra comfort.
Economy Class:
- The 787-8 has 314 economy seats, and the 787-9 has 340, in a 3-3-3 layout.
- Standard economy seats are 18 inches wide with a 31-inch pitch.
- Super Seats (on 787-9) are the same width but have a 34-36 inch pitch.
- S-T-R-E-T-C-H Seats (bulkhead and exit rows) have maximum legroom, a 34-36 inch pitch, and headrests.
- Passengers can select Super or S-T-R-E-T-C-H seats for an extra fee.
Scoot-In-Silence:
- A quiet-zone cabin behind ScootPlus, for passengers 12 years and above.
- On the 787-9, seats in this zone are Super or S-T-R-E-T-C-H seats; on the 787-8, they are standard or S-T-R-E-T-C-H seats.
- Seats in this cabin are slightly more expensive than economy seats and offer a quieter and more peaceful environment.
