Bangkok Airways is a regional airline based in Bangkok, Thailand. We operate flights to Thailand, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Singapore, and Vietnam. Our main hub is Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Carry-on (Cabin) Baggage Allowance

You are allowed one cabin bag plus one small personal item (like a purse or laptop bag).

  • ATR72 Aircraft: 1 bag, 17 x 11 x 9 in (44 x 28 x 23 cm), max weight 11 lb (5 kg)
  • Airbus A319/A320 Aircraft: 1 bag, 22 x 14 x 9 in (56 x 36 x 23 cm), max weight 11 lb (5 kg)

Checked Baggage Allowance

  • Economy Class: 1 bag, max 44 lb (20 kg)
  • Blue Ribbon / Business Class: 1 bag, max 66 lb (30 kg)

Excess Baggage Fees

  • Domestic Flights: $2.45 per kg (or THB 80 per kg)
  • International Flights: Charged based on the zonal rate

Sporting Equipment

Bicycles:

  • ATR72: 20 x 39 x 20 in (50 x 100 x 50 cm)
  • Airbus A319/A320: 57 x 63 x 43 in (145 x 160 x 110 cm)

Golf Sets:

  • 1 set per passenger
  • If weight exceeds the included baggage allowance:

    • First 15 kg: charged equivalent to 6 kg of excess baggage
    • Additional weight beyond 15 kg: charged as standard excess baggage

Other Sports Gear:

  • Same fee rules as checked baggage
  • Surfboards:

    • Not allowed on ATR72
    • Max 3 boards on Airbus A319/A320
    • Maximum length per board: 109 in (277 cm)

Scuba Equipment:

  • Same fees as regular checked baggage
  • Allowed items include: empty scuba tank, regulator, harness, pressure gauge, mask, knife, unloaded spear gun, and safety vest

CPAP / POC Devices

  • CPAP or POC machines are allowed on board, but must go through security screening and be empty of water before boarding
  • If the device includes a battery:

    • Considered a restricted item if at risk

Lithium-ion backup batteries with 100–160 kWh can be carried on, up to 2 units per passenger
