Copa Airlines

Copa Airlines is the national carrier of Panama, headquartered in Panama City, with its main hub at Tocumen International Airport. The airline is a member of Star Alliance and also operates as the owner of the Colombian airline Wingo (formerly Copa Airlines Colombia/AeroRepública).

Cabin Classes

Business Class:

  • Available on all Copa Airlines aircraft
  • Priority check-in, boarding, and baggage handling
  • Access to Copa/United Club and other Star Alliance lounges
  • In-flight services include pre-departure drinks, multi-course meals, pillows, and blankets (depending on flight type and duration)
  • Seats: reclinable leather with footrests and adjustable headrests, or lie-flat beds on 737 MAX fleet
  • Equipped with USB ports, AVOD screens, large tray tables, and 120V power outlets
  • On long-haul flights (>6 hours): amenity kits and bottled water
  • Bonus miles for ConnectMiles members

Economy Class:

  • Seats available on all aircraft, featuring adjustable headrests
  • New 737-800s: personal AVOD screens (5-inch / 13 cm touchscreen)
  • Older 737-800s: overhead flip-down screens
  • Radio with 12 music channels
  • Complimentary food and snacks on domestic and short international flights; full meals on medium and long-haul international flights
  • Complimentary alcoholic beverages on all flights

Frequent Flyer Program

ConnectMiles is Copa Airlines’ loyalty program, allowing passengers to earn miles on Copa Airlines, United Airlines, and other Star Alliance carriers.

  • Premier status benefits include priority check-in, priority boarding, complimentary upgrades, and discounted lounge access (Copa Club/United Club)
  • Replaced the OnePass program after the Continental-United merger; integrated with MileagePlus in 2012

Baggage Allowance

  • Allowance depends on flight date, origin, destination, fare class, and PreferMember status
  • Tickets purchased directly from Copa (website, call center, sales offices, airports) may offer baggage fee discounts
  • Each passenger’s baggage allowance is non-transferable
  • Extra or oversized baggage is subject to space availability and applicable fees
  • Special items may require a signed declaration
  • Oversized or irregular items are restricted on flights to/from Cuba, Ecuador, and El Salvador
  • Separate reservations may require re-checking baggage at connecting airports

  • Carry-on exceeding the allowance may be checked and charged as extra baggage
  • Baggage fees are subject to taxes imposed by the country of origin
